READING FC fans have been left pondering yet another inactive transfer deadline day.

Royals failed to bring in any last-minute permanent signings despite being heavily linked with Swansea City's Jay Fulton

Boss Paul Clement, who worked with Fulton at Swansea, admitted a fee could not be agreed between the two clubs despite Royals making their move on Wednesday.

However, fans were buoyed by the news that star defender Liam Moore is set to remain at Madejski Stadium despite the defender pushing for a move to Brighton & Hove Albion.

It all came about after the Seagulls made several offers for Moore’s services but they all fell short of Reading’s £15m valuation.

Moore met with Royals' Chinese owners on Wednesday and was told he would not be sold to Brighton at any price.

Overall it was a relatively busy transfer window for Reading with no less than six first-team players moving to Berkshire.

And this is how supporters reacted to the transfer window.

EFL clubs can still loan players up until August 31.

Boss Clement expects two more players to join his squad before the end of the month.
