TWYFORD BC's Barry Carter edged out Richard Heathman from Windsor & Eton 21-20 in the Champion of Champions contest, taking victory on the final end.

Twyford were beaten 95-66 by Reading in a friendly with five rinks of triples, with their top rink – who won 16-12 – skipped by Phil Rose, with Jean Bennett and Peter Gaskell 16-12.

The beaten side won only one triple led by Nick Orde, and lost the other two triples led by Barry Carter and Brian Stain.
