IT was very tight at the top of all three divisions in the May Weekend Medal at Caversham Heath on Saturday, with countback needed to decide the winner in two of them.

Mike Capaldi (10hcp) took the Division One honours ahead of Stuart Webb (10hcp), both with nett 74.

Third was Craig Duncan (6hcp) with nett 75.

Andy Bradley (11hcp) held off the challenge of Stephen Halford (12hcp) to win Division Two, both with nett 71.

Third was Simon Walker (12hcp) with nett 72.

Division Three winner was Mark Slater (20hcp) with nett 69.

Runner-up was Jim McGiveron (22hcp) with 70 and third was Adam Baker (23hcp) with 72.

Twos were recorded by Philip Beresford, Wayne Masters and Neil McAllister, all on the 8th hole.

Countback was also needed to separate the top two in the Midweek Stableford.

Andy Holmes (12hcp) took top spot ahead of Barry Reynolds (12hcp), both with 35 points.

Third was David Cuthbertson (11hcp), on countback from Mark Reynolds (15hcp), both with 34 points.

Division Two winner was Lynne Rumbold (19hcp) with 38 points. Peter Muirhead (31hcp) was runner-up, on countback from Stuart Walker (27hcp), both with 37 points.

Twos were recorded by David Cumming, Joseph Lawrence, and Nick Sarson (all on the 8th hole), Marco Atkinson and Duncan Mee (13th) and by Toby Joyce (17th).
