LAMBOURN trainer Nicky Henderson showcased his Cheltenham Festival hopefuls on Tuesday of last week.

Last year’s Champion Hurdle winner Buveur D’air is odds-on to record back-to-back triumphs in the feature race of the opening day on Tuesday, March 13.

He will be re-opposed by another of Henderson’s yard, last year’s runner-up My Tent or Yours.

Apple’s Shakira is currently the third favourite to take the honours in the opening contest of this month’s meeting, the Supreme Novices Chase, while Henderson is also responsible for the even-money favourite for the Queen Mother Champion Chase – the highly-impressive Altior.

In what could be a hugely successful week for Henderson, also trains the current fancy for the Cheltenham Gold Cup, Might Bite.
