Fencing: Mixed success for Reading at Royal Military Academy Sandhurst
READING Fencing Club sent two teams to compete with the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, in a friendly club match hosted by RMAS in their iconic Old College building.
The A team consisting of Lewie Jackson, Andy Smith and Beau Rahim beat the hosts’ B team 45-40 before losing to the A team 45-23, while Reading’s B team – made up of Rathish Punneli, Munawar Karim and Stanley Louw – lost 45-18 to RMAS A and 45-37 to the B team.
A return match will be hosted by Reading, with additional matches against other local clubs also planned for 2018.
