DAVE Edwards’ new book hit the shelves this week.

The Reading FC star put pen to paper on ‘Living My Dream’, a book which tells the story of his career so far.

It centres around the 31-year-old’s experience with Wales during the Euro 2016 competition as they reached the semi-finals against all the odds.

Edwards will be signing copies of his work at the Royals Megastore this afternoon.

The front cover of Dave Edwards' new book.

Edwards said: “I believe this book is something which I’d like to buy if there was a player from Northern Ireland who did the same, or if Jon Dadi Bodvarsson did one for Iceland.

“As a football fan, it’ll give you an insight into what actually happens at major tournaments.

“When you’re watching from home, you just see the games and you don’t necessarily see what’s happening day to day.

“Hopefully people enjoy it and it’s got a lot about my early career in there, growing up in Shropshire and moving to Wolves, and later on with Reading.

“It was really enjoyable to write, it was nice looking back on different parts of my career and triggering old memories! It’s something I really enjoyed doing.

“All my proceeds are going to my Foundation as well, so it would be great if we could raise some money for them as well.”

Edwards will sign copies of the book at Madejski Stadium Megastore between 2.30pm and 3.30pm.

Proceeds go to Little Rascals Foundation.
