FOLLOWING a tough start to the season, Reading Lions have their first points of the season after a rare 27-27 draw against Islington HC.
Reading knew the trip to second-placed Islington would be a tough challenge, but a returning Razvan Nastase bolstered the Lions’ defence and the home side had a hard time creating scoring opportunities.
Fab Maisonny was the pick of the Reading goalscorers, netting nine.
He was backed up skilfully by Artem Kuybida, who scored nine, and Kiril Tankov, who added five to his impressive goal tally for the season.
Reading have struggled defensively in the early part of this season, but this match could well be a turning point.
Next up for Reading is a trip to Brighton HC on Sunday, November 26.
