TONY Reynolds has become the first player to defeat Martin Gunn as Kingfisher C grabbed a 5-5 draw their fellow Division One club mates.
Reynolds clinched a fantastic point for his side when beating Gunn, pictured right, of Kingfisher A 9-11, 3-11, 11-9, 11-8, 13-11.
Gunn had earlier won another marathon contest against Marco Essomba 9-11, 11-8, 6-11, 11-5, 11-7.
Tidmarsh A were 6-4 winners against Kingfisher D with Csaba Pall and Tony Baker winning a key doubles contest against Simon Vine and Rob Gladstone 11-13, 9-11, 11-4, 12-10, 11-9.
It needed a Martin Adams hat-trick and two good wins from Mark Banks to take Kingfisher A back to the top as they won 6-4 at Sonning Common & Peppard A in their re-arranged fixture.
Gary Morgan of Sonning earned a good win over Banks 11-7, 11-4, 7-11, 9-11, 11-8, while young Joe Barraclough managed a fine 11-13, 11-5, 15-13, 9-11, 12-10 victory over Richard Rosinski.
Division Two
AN impressive win by Nick Lean, beating Alan Mollett in a last set decider 9-11, 11-8, 11-7, 6-11, 11-9, gave Curzon Club A a 6-4 victory at Sonning Common & Peppard D.
John Willcocks also recorded a treble as the Curzon team are in third place at the half-way stage of the season.
Danny Dockree starred as Sonning Common & Peppard C won 6-4 at Kingfisher E. Dockree clinching a match winning hat-trick when holding off John Morris 11-9, 7-11, 11-6, 15-17, 11-7.
Tim Raby won twice and Jon Abbott managed a single.
Division Four
READING FC A were forced to play two reserves at Springfield B in their Division Four and just went down 6-4.
For Springfield, Rob Wilkie made the difference by winning all three.
Tidmarsh D beat top of the table Milestone B 7-3 thanks mainly to the ex-first division star Andy Stevens getting a fairly easy three straight maximum.
Division Five
A MIKEY Legg hat-trick and doubles from Oliver Sayer and Jamie Lee saw Sonning Common & Peppard G win 8-2 against Milestone C in Division Five.
The Legg treble included a notable win over John Evans 9-11, 11-6, 7-11, 12-10, 11-8.
Although Stephen Leggett of Springfield D won all his matches, his teammates were only able to win one other set, a victory for Colin Jones over Julian James.
They narrowly lost the doubles 9-11, 12-12, 11-9, 9-11, 10-12 which ensured that Sonning Common & Peppard H ended the evening as 6-4 victors, thanks to a single from Julian James plus doubles for Gerry Bacon and Mike Casserley.
