ENGLAND badminton star Elizabeth Cann inspired young people in Woodley at a Sportivate badminton project last Thursday, and is set to return to a second session next month.
Cann has been a full-time professional badminton player competing for England for more than 15 years and has competed in World Championships, Commonwealth Games and European Championships.
Highlights of her career include winning Commonwealth medals, reaching the top 20 in the World rankings and beating the World number seven ranked player.
Cann said: “Despite the lack of experience I was really pleased to see the young women throw themselves straight in to whatever I set them to do. I was really impressed with improvements I could see in such a short amount of time."
The next session is on Thursday, June 9, at Bulmershe Leisure Centre in Woodley from 6-7pm.
