The 19-year-old Reading fighter will step through the ropes at the Epsom Downs Racecourse in Surrey to challenge for the competition’s Novice Middleweight title in only his second competitive fight on the televised boxing show.
Akram was last in action back in July at London’s iconic Alexandra Palace, when he demolished Scotland’s Mark Brown in the opening round of their contest, and after previously stopping veteran title challenger Mark Shrubb on his debut, the Reading assassin has already targeted some of the competition’s bigger names if he can emerge with the belt next time out.
He promised: “This fight is all about me showing people what I can do. People have seen me bang out my first two opponents, but I want them to see my boxing skills.”
Also in action on the Queensbury Boxing League’s big evening of action, Reading Light Middleweight Bryan Richardson makes his league debut after recently signing up to compete.
He previously fought at Super Middleweight level.
