ARTISTIC children designed posters to raise awareness for Road Safety Week.
Pupils from Radstock Primary School welcomed a team from Avis Reading to learn about staying safe on the roads.
The initiative aims to inspire thousands of schools to promote saving lives and the children were challenged to conjure their creative side by taking part in a poster competition.
Lou Slocombe, headteacher of Radstock Primary, said: “It has been great to work with our local Avis store during Road Safety Week. The children have loved taking part and we will continue to build on the valuable lessons learnt.”
Designs focused on wearing a seatbelt and not using a mobile phone while driving and judging was supported by a volunteer from road safety charity Brake.
Nina Bell from Avis added: “We are thrilled to support Brake and had a fantastic time working with the children.”
“We want to encourage all local businesses to play their part and help keep Reading’s roads safe for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.”
