A CHARITY providing recreational opportunities to disadvantaged children is celebrating a generous donation.

Woodley-based Me2 Club received £1,000 funding from Bullitt Group Reading to support their efforts to help children with additional needs and disabilities.

The donation is being used towards the running costs and will allow even more young people to take part in an activity of their choice next year.

Liz McDaniel, Me2 Club’s fundraising and development officer, said: “Like all small charities fundraising remains a priority which is why we were so excited to hear that Bullitt Group chose to help us.

"They learnt about our work from an employee who is also one of our parents. We are now encouraging more of our parents to speak to their employers to increase our levels of corporate support.”

Parent David Corke said it was a pleasure to nominate the charity after helping his daughter Scarlett to enjoy Guides for a number of years.
