A TRIO of immigrants who outstayed their visas were scooped up by enforcement officers.
Working alongside Thames Valley Police and Reading Borough Council they targeted businesses on Whitley Street and Basingstoke Road.
They found a 25-year-old Indian national whilst inspecting Premier Store on Whitley Street. He must report to the enforcement team while his case is progressed.
A 21-year-old Nepalese national was detained after they inspected Dhaulagiri Kitchen, on Basingstoke Road. He awaits removal from the UK.
Finally a 32-year-old from Pakistan was found at Today's Local, also on Basingstoke Road. He must report to immigration enforcement whilst his case is reviewed.
Both Premier Store and Today's Local were served with warning notices saying they could face a £20,000 fine for each illegal worker if they cannot prove appropriate right to work checks were carried out.
