A SEA of red runners took to the streets on Sunday for a popular festive fun-run.
The annual Santa Run attracted more than 1,000 entries to the town centre in an effort to raise money for disadvantaged and sick children.
Reading Family Aid and No 5 Young People's Counselling Service were the main charities to benefit from this year's race.
The 5k race followed a children's run, as runners hurled their way from Forbury Gardens onto Broad Street and Minster Street, braving the cold weather.
Berkshire Women's Aid, The Alzheimer's Society, PACT and The Rahab Project will also receive donations from the fundraising.
