A MAN has been left seriously injured after a hit and run in Reading in the early hours of this morning (Saturday, November 26).
At around 1.50am two men were crossing London Road near Amity Road when a dark coloured car hit one of them and then drove off.
The victim, a man in his thirties, was seriously injured and has been taken to hospital where he is currently being treated. The second man was unhurt.
Road closures are currently in place in London Road as officers carry out their investigation.
Insp Gavin Biggs of Roads Policing department said: "A man has been very seriously injured in this collision. The driver of the vehicle that inflicted the damage on him has left the scene seemingly without a thought for the victim.
"We are keen to hear from anyone in the Reading or Berkshire area who has seen a dark-coloured car with front end damage - damage that was not there yesterday."
