A WOMAN who shouted "homophobic" abuse at a man on a bus is being hunted by police.

The man was travelling on the number 15 bus from Meadway to Reading Town Centre when he was approached by the woman.

The 60-year-old told Thames Valley Police that the woman started to shout and swear at him, using homophobic language.

Police Constable Alex Kairouz said the woman has been described as around 5ft 6ins with blonde hair and in her late twenties to early thirties.

PC Kairouz said: "She was wearing a camel coloured coat that was tucked into her trousers. This type of behaviour will not be tolerated and we are carrying out a thorough investigation.

"The woman proceeded to threaten, shout and swear at the victim using homophobic language."
