A DEATH crash pensioner who lost control of her car before ploughing into pedestrians and killing a 44-year-old woman is set to be sentenced.
Pertpall Sall admitted a single count of causing death by dangerous driving after she killed Sonata Saultyte in Oxford Road in December, 2016.
Sall crashed her black Ford Focus into a double decker bus before running down three pedestrians who were walking on the footpath and crashing into a wall.
The shocking collision saw a 20-year-old man suffer several leg fractures while a 24-year-old man was cut and bruised.
However, Mrs Saulytye, a Lithuanian woman who was on holiday visiting family, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
Sall, of Headley Road, Woodley, was charged by postal notification and appeared at Reading Crown Court last Thursday.
She admitted a charge of causing death by dangerous driving and a charge of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
The 68-year-old will be sentenced at the same court in March 19.
Police constable Wayne Reece said: "This was a horrific incident which had devastating consequences. One woman lost her life and a man suffered serious leg injuries, requiring operations and leaving him unable to work for months.
"Our thoughts remain with the victim's family and the man who was seriously injured at this difficult time."
