A PASSENGER was cut free from a vehicle and rushed to hospital after a crash on Monday evening.
Fire crews from Caversham and Wokingham Road were called to London Road shortly after 9.30pm following a two-car collision.
Emergency services had to remove the roof of the black Volvo hatchback in order to free the passenger before they were taken to Royal Berkshire Hospital.
Crew manager David Grayson from Wokingham Road said: "The driver was already out when we arrived, but the passenger needed to be cut free.
"They were taken off to hospital. In my opinion they did not seem to have life-threatening injuries, but they did require some form of treatment."
Firefighters used extrication equipment and were on the scene for around one hour.
South Central Ambulance Service was approached for comment.
