A KNIFE-wielding man broke down a door and stole cash from a petrol station last night (Saturday).
The thug, whose face was covered, kicked his way through a glass door at the Shell petrol station in George Street, Caversham, shortly before 10pm.
He then went behind the counter and emptied money from the tills in to a carrier bag. He also stole the cash drawer before fleeing the shop.
Investigating officers revealed a member of staff was present at the time of the robbery but they were not injured.
