GRAFFITI daubed on Reading prison has raised a smile in the town- but not with the MoJ.
Someone wrote 'I'm not a prison darling, I'm a theatre' on the outside wall of the abandoned site, and fashioned Oscar Wilde out of mess.
The graffiti is in relation to the fact that groups are calling for the prison to be turned into a permanent theatre space.
It was revealed earlier this year that the site has cost taxpayers £1m to run since it was emptied of prisoners.
Councillors have called for the MoJ to hurry up and take action over the sale of the prison.
But the person responsible for the graffiti should watch out.
A spokesman for the MoJ said: "We are aware of an incident of vandalism to the wall of Reading prison.
"We are working to remove the graffiti and will not hesitate to refer any criminal activity to the police."
