A hair salon in Reading which traded in the town centre for over 30 years has closed down.
Toni & Guy, located in Cross Street, announced on Tuesday evening (October 27) that the salon had officially closed after opening to its first customers in May 1995.
People in Reading who want to get beauty treatments at Toni & Guy will now need to travel to their nearest salon in Wokingham in Denmark Street.
The multi-award winning salon franchise celebrated 30 years in business last year.
A statement posted to the Toni & Guy Reading Instagram page said: "We're so sorry to share that the Toni & Guy Reading salon has now closed.
"This decision is completely out of our hands and we truly appreciate all the support, loyalty and love you've shown us over the years.
"Please follow us on our socials to keep up with our latest updates, news and future plans."
Despite the Reading franchise closing, the brand still claims to have 201 salons in the UK and more than 750 branches globally.
The brand prides itself on signature blend of precision-cut architecture and high-fashion, runway-inspired styling, which it said 'sets it apart' from traditional neighbourhood salons.
Services include hairdressing consultations, cuts, barbering, colour and styling.
According to the salon's profile, the Reading salon was a flagship branch, with stylists working alongside the brand's international artistic team at events including London Fashion Week and The Clothes Show Live.
Toni & Guy was contacted for a comment but did not provide a response.
