Residents are being encouraged to have their say on proposals for a new community hub in Woodley at a public workshop next month.

Wokingham Borough Council is inviting local people to attend the session, which will give residents the chance to view proposals for the planned Woodley Community Hub, ask questions and share their views on the project.

The hub will be created by converting and expanding Woodley Library into a shared, multi-use public space. It would house expanded community support, advice, and local council services.

The workshop will take place at Woodley Library on Monday, November 2, from 4pm to 6pm. Organisers have said free refreshments will be available for attendees.

Unlike a drop-in event, the session will be run as a workshop and residents are being asked to arrive for the 4pm start.

Woodley Town Council has shared details of the consultation opportunity, encouraging residents to get involved and help influence the future of what could become an important community facility for the area.

The Woodley Hub is the second facility being developed by the council in partnership with the local community, similar to Arborfield Community Hub in Arborfield Green.

A spokesperson said the workshop is an opportunity for people to learn more about the proposals and contribute their feedback as plans are developed.

Anyone wishing to attend can book a place by emailing zara.odell@wokingham.gov.uk

Residents can also leave their name and contact details with staff at Woodley Library.
