An alternative folk-punk band is set to return to Reading later this year.

Wilswood Buoys, from Mersea Island, Essex, formed in 2017 and will play in Reading for the third time on November 27 at the Rising Sun Arts Centre.

The three-piece was formed by two friends, Josh and Joe, jamming together.

Since then, they have grown to develop a sound called 'alt/folk island' music.

Their performance will be part of Future Transmissions, with doors opening at 8 p.m. on the day.

Also, The Rocket Kings will feature in the event, bringing their original ukepop to the stage.

The band is based in Reading and is known for its unique lineup of three ukuleles combined with bass and drums.

Nick Saxton, a singer-songwriter from Reading, known for his indie-rock, will also perform.
