There is major disruption to train services between Reading and Heathrow this morning (Monday, August 10) due to a tunnel closure.
A tunnel has been closed for safety reasons between Hayes and Harlington station and Heathrow.
As a result, Elizabeth line services are being delayed or revised, with no trains running between Hayes and Harlington and Heathrow Airport.
This will impact travellers from Reading, as they would ordinarily have to pass through Hayes and Harlington on the Elizabeth line to get to Heathrow.
The tunnel closure is also impacting Heathrow Express services, with only two trains an hour in each direction between London Paddington and Heathrow Terminal 5.
National Rail said that "major disruption" is expected until the end of the day.
The rail authority said the tunnel closure was due to a "water leak", with all but one train line forced to close.
Travellers are advised to check the National Rail website for the latest updates and information on alternative routes.
