A store in a busy area near a park, homes and other food businesses in Reading could keep on selling alcohol until midnight.
M&M Food & Wine is located in the Wokingham Road shopping area in East Reading, which has a number of takeaways and shops, and is surrounded by homes.
It is a convenience store with useful home supplies, food, snacks and drinks, including a range of alcohol such as beers, wines and spirits.
The business owner has recently applied to sell alcohol for consumption off the premises from 7am to midnight each day of the week.
The store is currently open from 8am each day, with closure at 11pm Monday to Saturday and 10.30pm on Sundays.
The late alcohol sales bid has been submitted in an application to Reading Borough Council's licensing department.
A statutory consultation into the application is currently live.
