Thames Hospice celebrated the first anniversary of its Reading Superstore.
The event, held in Richfield Avenue, featured stage and screen star Anita Dobson as a special guest.
The celebrations kicked off at 10am, when Ms Dobson cut the birthday cake in front of a crowd of supporters and volunteers.
Throughout the day, the store ran various activities, including upcycling workshops, personal fashion styling sessions, children's activities, and it also provided free cake and refreshments for its customers.
The store has established itself as a community hub for sustainable shopping, offering a wide array of second-hand and upcycled items, from furniture and homeware to books and toys.
It also houses a vintage section, Café, and alterations service.
Annie Campbell, the interim retail director at Thames Hospice, said: "We are delighted that so many customers joined us today to celebrate our first year.
"Our team have worked tirelessly to make the Superstore an integral part of the Reading community, and we are so grateful for the continued support, generous donations, and dedicated volunteers who make it all possible."
Special guest Ms Dobson added: "I’m so proud to have supported Thames Hospice for nearly ten years.
"The care they provide to families during their most difficult times is truly outstanding.
"I absolutely love this Superstore, and all the Thames Hospice shops, for their unique charm, beautiful layout, and the incredible treasures you can always find inside."
The hospice superstore opened in October 2024.
