A vacant restaurant near Reading town centre is set to be occupied by an Indian food company promising an 'exceptional dining experience'.
An eatery called 'Tanatan' is gearing up to open a restaurant at 45 London Street.
Once open, guests will be able to enjoy kebab and taco starters, biryanis and curries, sundries and traditional Indian desserts.
Telling guests what they can expect, Jagruti Patel from Tanatan said: "At our Indian restaurant, guests can embark on an unforgettable culinary journey that spans the rich and diverse flavours of India, from the northernmost regions to the southern coasts.
"Our restaurant boasts a warm and inviting ambience, adorned with traditional Indian decor, making it an ideal spot for family gatherings, celebrations, or casual dinners with friends.
"Our attentive staff is dedicated to providing you with an exceptional dining experience.
"We can’t wait for you to join us and savour the vibrant flavours of India, complemented by our fantastic drink selection!"
Tanatan is set to take over the premises previously occupied by the Clays Hyderabadi Indian restaurant.
Clays relocated to 22-24 Prospect Street, Caversham in February last year.
Hoping to take its former spot, Tantatan has applied to sell alcohol from 11am to midnight each day of the week.
The company is hoping to sell Cobra and Kingfisher beers, and a selection of Indian-inspired cocktails, wine, and spirits which they hope 'will suite every palette'.
It has also applied to keep on selling food and drink and playing recorded music from 11pm to midnight each night as well.
An application for these activities has been submitted to Reading Borough Council's licensing department.
A statutory consultation into the application has begun. You can take part by emailing licensing@reading.gov.uk.
The deadline for responses will be reached on Thursday, October 24.
The application has been submitted by JR Restaurants Ltd trading as Tanatan, an independent business with other restaurants in the country.
