A popular coffee chain has reopened in Caversham after undergoing major renovation.
Franchise partners of Costa Coffee on Church Street Winx and Steve Falle said that they have had great feedback from the public since welcoming customers back.
The couple, who have owned the coffee shop since 2007, said that they have spent the best part of £175,000 renovating the cafe and reopened a few weeks prior.
"It has been very well received from all of our lovely customers," Winx said. "We're keen to keep this going. Everyone seems to like what we have done which is just great."
She went on to say that the cafe has been an integral part of the community in Caversham for many years and that they have customers who have been coming to them since opening in 2007.
"In my opinion, we've been a very important part of the Caversham community for many years, which has just been wonderful," Winx continued.
"We've also maintained a lot of loyal customers who have been with us over the last 17 years and who keep coming back time and time again."
Winx said that the renovation they have done has been so extensive and that they have left no stone unturned. "What have we not done!" she laughed.
They have done everything from brand new purpose-built flooring for the cafe which will now prove to be durable and attractive to customers.
They also added new electrics that run throughout the Costa coffee which will help with new systems that have also replaced older machines and appliances.
They have improved the overall pumping which is working very efficiently, and have also benefitted from a brand new counter.
"We have also included new state-of-the-art digital menus which we are really excited about," Winx said. "Also we have lots of new furniture."
The new furniture includes a range of outside tables and chairs along with the interior pieces. These include coffee tables and seating for customers who are having their drinks and snacks in-house.
"We have completely re-painted the whole of the inside of the coffee shop which also looks great," Winx continued. "Plus we have lots of new artwork for the walls too.
"You name it. It's pretty much like a brand-new store, it looks great! We've had very good feedback from customers because this has been such a long time coming.
"We've been wanting to renovate for a while but these things take time. On the whole, the feedback has been extremely positive."
