A police cordon has been lifted after Russell Street was closed of for most the day.
Police were spotted at the scene at around 7am on Tuesday, October 1 where traffic was being diverted away from the area.
Thames Valley Police is yet to respond to multiple requests for information.
Locals in the area have reported that the incident was a crash that involved a child and a vehicle. This has not been confirmed by police.
Pictures of the scene show a red minibus being photographed by forensics on Goldsmith Road – just off Russell Street.
Following the incident, TVP reported the incident on social media. It said: “Russell Street is currently closed in both directions. It is likely to remain closed for some time.
“We would advise motorists to avoid the area at this time. We will provide further updates when the road is reopen.”
The road has been reopened following police investigations.
Police are yet to respond after multiple requests for comment.
