Members of Reading Buses office staff will be walking the iconic purple 17 route on Friday September 20 in a bid to raise funds for the company’s charity of the year, The Royal Berks Charity.
Reading Buses has hosted a variety of events over the year, including bake sales and their hugely successful family open day in June.
Continuing the fundraising spirit, members of their finance & IT team are undertaking the challenge to walk the width of the town from the western to eastern boundary.
The walk will see them start at Tilehurst Water Tower at 10 am and walk the length of the route (just short of 10km) across town to finish at the Three Tuns on Wokingham Road.
The team will be dressed in purple t-shirts, purple fancy dress, and even a giant purple dinosaur costume, so you won’t be able to miss them!
