Photographs taken by a freelance photographer from above offer a birds-eye view of Reading – how many local landmarks can you find?
Photojournalist Mike Swift took the shots while flying above the town this week – showing Reading town centre, the railway station and more in a whole new light.
After getting lucky with the weather – blue skies with only a few clouds – Mike managed to do a full circuit of the area, getting a view from above of Sonning Golf Club, the view towards Maidenhead and London and Waingels College in Woodley.
He also caught two Great Western Railway trains passing each other just west of Twyford on his camera – as well as grabbing some shots of Twyford train station.
Mike, who has won awards for his street photography, has worked as a professional photographer and photojournalist for over 30 years, with his most recent work a masterclass in composition and taking the right shot at the right time. What can you spot?
