A woman has died after being 'seriously injured' at The Oracle Shopping Centre car park in Reading.
Police were called to the Riverside car park on Mill Lane at around 9:55pm on Friday, September 6.
They had received reports of a woman being "seriously injured" after falling from the seven-storey structure.
The woman was given emergency medical treatment at the scene before being taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital where she was sadly pronounced dead.
Her next of kin are being supported by specially trained officers and have asked for privacy at this difficult time.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said the death is not being treated as suspicious.
Earlier this year, The Oracle Ltd Partnership applied for permission to install security fencing at the multi-storey, with an agent specifically stating its purpose to "prevent people from falling or jumping from the car park".
The decision came after a 59-year-old man from Ascot died after falling from the Mill Lane car park on New Year's Day 2023.
The entrance to The Oracle was closed on Friday night after emergency services cordoned off the area for investigation but is now back open.
