A man from Calcot has been charged over several drug and weapons offences in Reading town centre.
Cameron Carlinie was arrested in Cheapside on Thursday.
The 27-year-old, of Curtis Road, has now been charged with possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, as well as cannabis and cocaine.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: "He has been released on unconditional bail and is due to appear at Reading Magistrates Court on 12 September."
