A Hungerford homebuilder has helped feed homeless people across Newbury thanks to a bumper donation to a support charity.
David Wilson Homes has contributed £1,500 to Loose Ends Newbury, which supports the town’s homeless and vulnerable community.
Loose Ends Newbury offers five drop-in sessions every week, providing three lunches and two breakfasts - as well as a weekly session for young families who are struggling amid the cost of living crisis.
Paul Jenkinson, Secretary and Trustee at Loose Ends Newbury, said: “Unfortunately, there are and continues to be people who need this support for many different reasons.
"We generally cater for 20 to 25 people per session but sometimes many more."
The donation will also help fund much needed repairs at the charity's facilities, according to Paul.
Campbell Gregg, Managing Director at David Wilson Homes Southern, said: "Loose Ends Newbury is the perfect example of a charity run by local people, for local people, and it’s a privilege to be able to support its excellent work in Newbury."
