Hundreds of brightly-coloured fundraisers from across Reading ran, jogged and walked their way through the 5km route for the annual muddy pilgrimage in pink for Cancer Research UK.
The Pretty Muddy Race For Life saw Reading residents take to a muddy assault course all for good cause and many supporting friends and family members impacted by cancer.
Crowds turned out in force for the fundraiser at Prospect Park on July 13 and got stuck in to the Pretty Muddy obstacles all with a cheer and smile along the way.
One group of supporters on the day, included the family of Jane Taylor who has recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Husband James said: “It was a great day. Everyone enjoyed it and I had fun cheering from the sidelines. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to join as I am disabled.
Everyone had already done it before, but this was the first time that we were doing it as a group. Two guys from our local café joined us as well as Jane’s sister. Everyone got pink lady t-shirts and we really dressed up for this year’s race.”
The group of 10 has raised over £800 for the charity to help with research.
