Police have issued an urgent appeal for two witnesses to come forward after intervening during an attack in Newbury.
The incident occurred between 9 pm and 9:20 pm on Sunday, June 30 in an alleyway off Bartholomew Street.
A victim in his twenties was approached by an offender in the alleyway where he was punched and kicked numerous times, sustaining minor injuries.
The witnesses are thought to have come from the Indigo Bay restaurant.
Investigating officer PC Tobias Loughran, said: “We would also ask anyone who may have dash-cam footage or CCTV of the incident to please come forward.
“If you are one of the people who intervened in the incident, or you have footage or witness information, please make a report online or call 101 quoting reference 43240313361.
“If you do not wish to speak to the police you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
