Reading, Ascot, and other parts of Berkshire have seen a sudden change in the weather today that will bring everyone down to earth after a week of sunshine.
Despite promises of more sunshine to mark the final day of Royal Ascot, rain clouds have made a sudden appearance across Berkshire.
Temperatures however are predicted by the MET Office to stay around 22 degrees.
So if you’re heading out today, you may want to bring both an umbrella and some sun cream just in case, as the sun may make an appearance later this evening.
The MET office said: Patchy rain or showers clearing, then warm sunny spells developing.
Dull with extensive low cloud, and patchy light rain, at first. As sunny intervals eventually break though so isolated sharp showers may develop for a time, before dying away to leave warm sunny spells by evening. Light sea-breezes develop. Maximum temperature 24 °C.
These dull spells come before an expected week of record-breaking temperatures up to 28 degrees.
