A man who failed to provide a sample to the police for testing after being pulled over has been fined almost £1,000.
James Davies, 47, of Coniston Drive, Tilehurst, was pulled over near Burghfield on September 10, 2023.
Officers demanded a breath test, which the defendant refused.
This led to him being charged with failing to provide specimen for analysis.
Davies denied the offence, but, at Reading Magistrates' Court, he was found guilty.
On April 3 this year, magistrates handed Davies a 12-month community order.
He must complete 200 hours of unpaid work, and pay back £775 in court costs.
Coupled with a £114 victim surcharge, Davies now owes £889 to the court.
