This is the face of the youth who killed 19-year-old motorcyclist Sheldon Lewcock by running a van into him.

Ryan Willicombe, 19, from Newbury, was found guilty of manslaughter today (May 8) - but was cleared on the more serious charge of murder.

The killer drove his father's van into Mr Lewcock in Pierces Hill, Tilehurst, on August 4, 2022.

The victim died at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford five days later.

Jurors convicted Willicombe by a simple majority verdict, after deliberating for 23 hours.

He will be sentenced at a later date - and Judge Heather Norton told him that he will be going to jail for "some considerable period of time."

Detective Inspector Alice Broad, who led the investigation into Mr Lewcock's death, said: "This has been a difficult and complex investigation and trial at Reading Crown Court over the past few weeks.

"This conviction demonstrates that Ryan Willicombe was responsible for the death of Sheldon Lewcock on August 4, 2022, on Pierces Hill.

"My thoughts and that of Thames Valley Police very much remain with the family of Sheldon Lewcock at this difficult time."
