A cyclist has been left with a broken leg after a collision with a car in Newbury.

At around 12.10pm on Sunday, May 5, a blue Volkswagen Touran collided with a cyclist on the roundabout by Waitrose, at the junction of the A4, Western Avenue.

The cyclist suffered a broken leg which required hospital treatment, but hs since been discharged.

Investigating officer PC Tom Dickinson, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “We are appealing for witnesses following this collision.

“We are appealing for witnesses to the collision to come forward as well as anyone who may have dash-cam footage of the incident.
