OFFICERS have launched a fresh appeal after a convenience store was robbed in broad daylight.

A till containing around £700 was stolen from H&C Stores at Severn Grove in Kidderminster last week.

Harish Parmar, who runs the store, said two men walked into his shop in the morning, with one demanding: "Give me all your money.”

He told the Shuttle: “I thought he was just joking.

"I've been here 14 years, nobody has done anything like that. It put me in shock”.

He said that one of the men “jumped” over the counter and picked up the till containing hundreds in cash before running away from the shop.

He said: “It just happened in half a minute and they just ran away”.

When asked if he was frightened by the incident, he said: “It happened too fast, my head was going round. I couldn’t think straight”.

West Mercia Police made an arrest following the robbery, with the man later being bailed.

Now, officers are appealing to the public for further information on the incident, which happened around 9.25am on Thursday, April 18. The two suspects entered the store holding a Matalan bag for life.

A spokesperson for West Mercia Police said: "They demanded money from the till and when a member of staff refused, they removed the whole till from the shop and left towards Jubilee Drive.

"Both suspects are described as wearing grey tracksuits, one with a black jacket and one with a grey and black jacket. Both had their faces covered.
