A study by vehicle lender Moneybarn has found that Reading rail station charges among the highest fees in the country for use of its car park.
Researchers compared the costs of an eight-hour stay at rail station car parks up and down the country.
Reading's placed fifth in terms of cost, behind Glasgow Central, Moorfields and Sheffield.
An eight-hour stay at Reading station cost £21.
That was still less than the price of an eight-hour session at Oxford rail station - the priciest in the country, at £31.50.
A spokesperson for Moneybarn put the situation down to the hub status of Reading train station.
They said: "Offering connecting links to the city and nearby towns, Reading station is a key transport hub for both commuters and travellers, having served over 8.8m visitors in 2022."
