The UK’s ultimate Christmas experience, held in the heart of Berkshire, saw a record-breaking year for ticket sales after 300,0000 visited the website hoping to bag a ticket to this year's event.

LaplandUK is an immersive Christmas event, founded by Mike and Alison Battle, that brings together a host of fantastical characters to reimagine the untold story of Father Christmas.

Tickets for this year’s six-week run went on sale at 12 pm on Monday, March 18, and sold out in three hours.

Over 200,000 people joined the waiting room at 10 am where they sat patiently awaiting to be assigned their randomly allocated space in the queue.

In years past, thousands of people have often walked away disappointed after missing out on the coveted tickets for their children.

Tickets ranged from £60 to £190 per person depending on the chosen date.

Mike & Alison Battle, Founders of LaplandUK, commented: "We're so pleased that so many people have joined us for another record year at LaplandUK, where we can bring exceptional storytelling and believability to Christmas for families across the country.

"Our thanks go out to all the Big and Small Folk who managed to grab themselves tickets and apologies to those that missed out.

"We hope to expand our experience in the future to ensure we meet the wishes of as many people as possible who want to experience the event."

LaplandUK is located within the Crown Estate’s Whitmoor Forest on Swinley Road in Ascot where families will be transported to a magical wonderland.

A physical and freezable ticket is posted to those families who managed to secure their ticket this week.

Since the launch of the Christmas experience in 2007, LaplandUK has been frequented by well-known celebrities and personalities such as David and Victoria Beckham and a host of Royals.
