Berkshire’s ultimate experience for runners is set to take place this Summer in the heart of the beautiful countryside.

In a festival of camaraderie and endurance, Endure24 transforms Wasing Park, Reading, into a trail running haven on June 8th and 9th, 2024.

Unlike any traditional race, this 24-hour event brings the euphoria of a party with the challenge of a running race.

As the name suggests, the core of Endure24 lies in the challenge to continuously run along an 8km woodland trail for a full 24 hours.

Runners can choose to tackle the course solo, pair-up, or assemble a team of up to 12 members.

With an open invite for spectactors, the event promotes a festive ambiance with run-relays happening at all hours of the day and night.

Speaking about the event, CEO of Threshold Sports, Nick Tuppen, said: "Events such as Endure24 are designed to tap into the social side of Ultras.

"Everyone has the simple goal of completing as many laps of the 8km course as possible in 24 hours, but you can take part as a solo or in large fun teams of up to 12.

"When not completing laps, runners and their supporters enjoy live DJs, on-tap beer from local breweries, great food, a kids’ zone, and retailers selling the latest trail running kit.

"It's a festival atmosphere that celebrates the joy of Ultras."

In addition to the running extravaganza, Endure24 offers a myriad of entertainment options.

A Live DJ and roaming DJ trucks create an energetic backdrop, while a carnival drumming group on the start line heralds the beginning of the event.

For the younger crowd, there's a fun run on Friday night, followed by a colourful Kid's Zone filled with bouncy inflatables, games and a creativity-inducing colouring wall.

Participants can also book lakeside sauna sessions and wild swimming at Wasing Park's woodland lake.

Camping options range from communal team zones to luxurious glamping add-ons.

Sharing his experience, four-time participant Chris said: "From the atmosphere, and the sense of real community feel, to wicked festival vibes.

"This event is more than just running laps. It's about bringing together a group of superhumans on a large scale to do superhuman things."

Endure24 makes everyone a champion as observed by first-timer Paul: "I loved it, it was special and made everyone involved feel like running VIPs."
