THE following cases were heard at Worcester, Hereford and Kidderminster Magistrates Court.

 

CHRISTOPHER STONES, of Owletts End, Pinvin near Pershore, admitted harassment without violence, criminal damage, and failing to comply with a section 35 direction excluding a person from an area. 

The 33-year-old admitted both offences when he appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on March 6. 

Stones was set to face a trial for the harassment charge - but changed his guilty plea moments before it began. 

The defendant committed the harassment and failing to comply offences between January 2 and January 8 in Worcester. The section 35 offence took place when Stones failed to leave Worcester city centre when requested.

Stones committed the criminal damage offence on August 9 last year - when he damaged a cell at Kidderminster Police Station. 

Stones was jailed for 39 weeks - magistrates saying the reason he was being jailed was because there had been a "wilful and persistent failure to comply with your community order".

 

FAYE JACKSON, of Lower Priest Lane, Pershore, admitted four charges of theft from a shop. 

The 50-year-old appeared at Kidderminster Magistrates Court on March 6. 

Jackson committed the offences between February 21 and March 4. Jackson stole wine from Tesco in Pershore throughout that period. 

Jackson was given a one-year community order with the requirement to complete six months of alcohol treatment. 

The defendant was also told to complete 15 rehabilitation activity requirement days. 

Jackson was ordered to pay £58.25 compensation to the supermarket. 

 

DANIEL STRETTON, of Woodleigh, Drakes Broughton, appeared at Worcester Magistrates Court on March 6. 

The 41-year-old is accused of driving on road other than motorway - fail comply with red/green arrow/lane closure light signals and failing to give information relating to the identification of the driver/rider of a vehicle when required. 

The crown alleges Stretton committed the driving offence on the A44 Evesham Road on June 29 last year and the failure to give information offence in Worcester on August 2 last year. 

The case was adjourned, the next hearing of the case scheduled to take place on May 29. 

 

ADAM HUGHES, of Farm Road, Stourport-on-Severn, admitted drug driving when he appeared at Hereford Magistates Court on March 6. 

The 36-year-old committed the offences on October 4 last year when he drove on the B4203 near Bromyard Town Football Club when the proportion of a controlled drug, namely Delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (a cannabis breakdown) exceeded the legal limit. 

Hughes was banned from driving for a year.

He was also fined £289, ordered to pay costs of £135 and £116 victim surcharge. 

Hughes was ordered to pay the total, £540, in full within 28 days.
