Dozens of firefighters rushed to a derelict building after thick smoke began to rise from the building.
At 3:22pm on Thursday, 22 February, Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS) received reports of a fire on Tessa Road in Reading.
The building once housed the Reading Evening Post, but is currently empty.
Eight Berkshire fire crews and four Oxfordshire County Council Fire and Rescue Service crews were sent to the scene alongside an aerial ladder platform.
A RBFRS spokesperson said: "Upon arrival, crews discovered a fire in a derelict warehouse.
"Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used two main jets and a hose reel jet to tackle the fire."
A temporary road closure was enforced on Richfield Avenue, with a handful of workers becoming stuck in Tessa Road with their vehicles.
Crews began to scale back at 6:30pm, with the majority of the fire crews leaving the scene by 7:30pm.
A small fire service remained on the scene to check for hotspots.
The RBFRS spokesperson added: "At its peak, over 50 firefighters were on the scene.
"Thank you to everyone for their patience while this incident was dealt with."
Crews were at the scene for approximately four hours before returning to conduct a re-inspection of the property later in the evening.
