Reading Buses has revealed its 2023 fundraising grand total.

The bus company had chosen The Royal Berks Charity as its charity partnership and in January a cheque of £11,739 was handed over.

In the formal announcement, Reading Buses also confirmed it has extended their partnership for a further year and marked the occasion by revealing a new fully branded charity bus.

Robert Williams, Reading Buses Chief Executive Officer, said: "It is unusual for us to select a charity for a second year, demonstrating the really valuable work that The Royal Berks Charity does.

"We are also extremely delighted to unveil a newly branded Royal Berks Charity bus which is one of our spare double-decker buses that will run on every route around Reading and the local area."

The newly branded Royal Berks Charity bus has already made the rounds in Reading and the design includes a handy text number that people can donate via their mobile phone providers.

Royal Berks Charity supports the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust and the seven hospital sites across Berkshire and South Oxfordshire.

The charity funds new projects in a way that government funding wouldn’t allow. From purchasing the latest cutting-edge equipment to helping ensure NHS staff receive the support they need to do the best job possible
