An alleged drug supply took place in Reading which ended in a police chase.

At approximately 6pm on Wednesday, January 10, officers attempted to stop a black Audi S3 on Vastern Road as it was suspected to be involved in drug supply.

The driver failed to stop before driving off at speed and squeezing through traffic, causing other members of the public to take evasive action.

The driver is described as an Asian man with a beard, aged in his early 20s, and wearing a black tracksuit.

The vehicle had the partial registration of DG18.

The car was driven on Vastern Road, Caversham Road, York Road, Ross Road, Swansea Road, Tudor Road, Greyfriars Road, Friar Street, Chatham Street, Easton Place, Oxford Road, Waylan Street, Jesse Terrace, Castle Hill, Coley Hill, Castle Crescent, Coley Avenue, Berkeley Avenue, Rose Kiln Lane and Laud Close.

Investigating officer PC Matthew Fairman, based at Reading police station, said: “I am appealing to anybody who was driving in any of the above roads and witnessed this vehicle driving at speed to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.

“I would also like to hear from anybody who has any information relating to possible drug dealing in the areas mentioned.
