A Tilehurst man has been given a suspended sentence for selling cannabis.

On Wednesday 3 January, Deyonte Bryan, 28, of Severn Way, Tilehurst, Reading was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment suspended for one year.

The sentencing followed an investigation by the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit (SEROCU).

Bryan pleaded guilty to one count each of being concerned in the supply of a class B drug and offering to supply a controlled substance.

Officers found that he had been obtaining and selling cannabis.

Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector Kay Hutchings, of SEROCU, said: “Due to the strength of evidence against him, Bryan had no choice but to plead guilty.

“We are relentless in our pursuit of those that continue to supply drugs in our communities. This will not be tolerated and we will take those committing such offences to court.

“If you have any information about drugs in your community, please report it to your local police force by calling 101. Alternatively, if you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via its website.”
