Floral tributes have been left at a property in Pangbourne which has been the centre of a massive murder investigation.
A murder probe was launched on Friday, January 5 after a woman was found stabbed at the scene of a crash and a man was discovered dead on railway tracks just half an hour later.
The incidents unfolded on January 4 when officers were called to the crash at about 5:45pm on the A340 Tidmarsh Road at the junction with Flower’s Hill.
Despite receiving medical treatment, the 56-year-old sadly died at the scene.
Following the initial investigation and forensic search at a mansion on Flower’s Hill where a cordon was erected outside the property, people have begun to leave flowers outside the gates.
Whilst visiting the scene, Police told the Chronicle that they believe more people will be by today to leave tributes to the woman who passed away in the incident.
Neighbours have expressed their sadness over the events during the past few days.
One neighbour said: “We have lived here for 30 years and this is the first time anything like this has happened. It’s so heart-breaking.
“The first thing we noticed was lights and the helicopter circling the area.”
Another neighbour described the situation as “extremely stressful and sad”.
